Hey, guys, remember we were supposed to think about something to celebrate the Comm's birthday?

SO. Since Cony refuses to send us chocolate, I was thinking maybe we could make a variation of the friending meme. It would look like this:

Age:
Gender:
Location:
Favorite characters:
Favorite pairings:
Other fandoms:
What you'll find in my journal:
When did you meet the comm, and how:
ANYTHING ELSE:

My reasons for this:

1. Most of the ideas people gave are really awesome, but I think they would work better as... gen ideas. Not related to the comm. Like the meme. It would be COOL, but it will take time for people to fill it. Gala's idea, making a panel and all, was cool too, but now I think it would work better in december, because now people are not having birthday thoughts and they won't be as INSPIRING. But we could try to make it to celebrate when the year ends.

2. We have new members, and we don't know everyone yet.

3. It would help me to (FINALLY) find out who are the uruguayans in this comm.

4. Friending memes are fun okay, and the comm helped us to make new friends and meet people so it would be FITTING AND SYMBOLIC. So there.

So what's up with the spam comments lately? Instead of that cute Russian stuff we all know and love, now I keep getting random friendly replies. I got this one for a post about the time I was going to go home:

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

search engines wait what this is personal. Stop trying to be my friend. And this for one about how me and baby sister almost lost a train

It’s really a nice and helpful piece of information. I’m glad that you shared this helpful info with us. Please keep us informed like this. Thanks for sharing.

The hell. Stop stalking me, sweet robot spam thing, I don't want to keep you informed of anything :(

/back to work. 32 pages to read omg this is going to KILL ME

PEOPLE FROM ARGENTINALANDIA (... that's actually a pretty cool name, you should use it)

So, my baby sister and my baby brother will probably visit Buenos Aires next week. We're trying to find hotels and stuff for them, so... any place we should definitely avoid? I'm asking this because someone said in Europe is usually a good idea to stay near the bus stations but that varies a lot (do not, I repeat, do NOT try this in Sao Paulo) and I have not idea how it goes in Buenos Aires.

(av 9 de julio. How does that sound? The part that's close to the Obelisk?)

(also, I'm bored. Just thought everyone should know)

Ok, to all you people who said that UK/Russia made no sense and you just couldn't see it, I GIVE YOU THIS.

Two words, my friends: HA HA.

But Cracked's article The 5 Most Statistically Full of Shit National Stereotypes is really win, guyz. The writer says he's Pole (Polish?), which is, like, totally awesome, you know? not sure I believe him, he mentioned Captain America. I think it's Alfred pretending to be Feliks

And because I can't help myself, I'll quote my two favorite parts for you:

Nii-chan is badass (I knew that):

And not a damn thing's changed since then: France is the most underestimated military force in the world, with the third highest military spending on the planet and an estimated 300 nuclear warheads at their disposal. So basically... we might want to knock off the "coward" talk now, lest we find the impeccably-styled death squads smoking their thin cigarettes on our doorstep.

England has nice teeth (... I'm not sure I knew that)

The idea of "good" teeth differs slightly between the UK and the U.S.--most Brits simply don't find slightly crooked or off-white teeth all that unappealing. They probably fancy you a bit of a poof, actually, wasting perfectly good dosh on teeth whitening 'stead of a warm pint and a hot pigeon pasty. For all you non-British: We think they just called you a pussy, but we can't be sure (we half-suspect they make up good bit of their adorable-sounding slang on the spot).

Read the thing, it's fun.

I'm not happy.

Remember back in 2003 when there was a heat wave in Europe and the French and Italians were dying because of it? That was because they reached 40C. Well, that's how hot it is in Rio de Janeiro this week. I wonder how Beyonce* is doing.

Actually, I don't. I'm more worried about myself. It's 35 C where I am and this is starting to get really annoying, gaiz, it is. I'm melting and I don't want to wear clothes and the only good thing about all this is that I'm drinking more water, and I kinda needed it.

You know, this is all Argentina's fault. They're supposed to send us some cold fronts or wathever and they're being totally useless and now things are complicated, because if they actually send us one it will rain, and the last thing we need now is more rain - at least here where I am - because then the dam (is that even the right word I asked google_translator and it told me to use dyke this can't be right lol) will flood and the last thing we need now is more floods.

Plus, I'm bored.

*someone said she fell on the stage. You know, back when I wanted to be a singer look, don't judge me, I also wanted to be a pilot and a ballet dancer I always worried about that... must be really embarassing... yeah that's how fricking bored I am D:
