You know these books that are sort of maybe a little popular now that takes some classic book and then adds supernatural stuff, like, idk, Jane Eyre and Vampires or whatever?

I find this very exciting. So exciting that I bought Senhora, the Witch and the Alienista with Zombies. Senhora is my favorite on my Brazilian Classic list, and probably one of the top ten on my Overall List, so yeah. Now with more witches and spells and ghosts. BE JEALOUS.

And I kinda hate the Alienista. Or would, if I had managed to finish that thing. But I'm pretty sure zombies will spice things up, and anyway this one is for my brother, so there. I also bought stuff for mom (I was planning to get her something by Nicholas Sparks, but the guy refuses to write a book with a happy ending, so whatevs) and my baby sister, so Christmas shopping is almost done o/


That said, we have, like, 8 fills posted so far on the secreto santa. Should I be worried?

Ok, first, I need to come clean to you all and say it: secretos_fandom doesn't bother me.

Well, it does, because it bothers people I care about, but it doesn't affect me personally. I don't feel the urge to make it better for the anon du jour (what can i say. we have a sweet mod. it's not me). I find the thirty minutes raeg that follows more entertaining than annoying, even when I'm the one raging because I like to rant. And it never lasts more than one day. So. Yeah.

So ON THIS VERY DAY, when I was on my way to my class (on saturday. I had a class today. SATURDAY), I was thinking about how none of the secrets had mentioned me or my OTP and how I would react if one did. And I started to think of possible secrets people could post, trying to guess what they would say and all, and it occurred to me that the only possible one was something like DISLIKE BR/ARG 'CAUSE ARG/CHI IS BETTER. Of course, I questioned my own power. I didn't believe someone actually would.

BUT

DID YOU SEE SECRETOS-FANDOM TODAY?

I TOTALLY CALLED IT. LIKE, TOTALLY.

And the creepy thing is: Paul the octopus is dead. I think I inherited its powers, guys, for serious. I'm so proud of myself 8D I'm trying as hard as I can to convey my emotions because people will think I went crazy with pain and rage or whatever, but I'm being totally honest, this is hilarious. I'M A MUTANT. THE FUTURE-SEEING KIND OF MUTANT. That's the best kind, after the kind that lets you move stuff with your mind.

Now, to read the comments on that thing. Because I wanted to be the first to post about it and I didn't even check it, lol.

Now. I have two exchange fics to write. Oh, and one dissertation to finish. I think it's safe to say it's time to panic.

★ Trick or Treat! ★

1) Create a graphic (200 x 200 max size) to represent your personal "candy". It should have your username on it, but otherwise can feature whatever you want. Make it something special since it's self-representative.
2) Make a post with the subject "trick or treat?". Put your "candy" somewhere in it, and be sure to repost these instructions.
3) Then, go around other people's LJs and reply to them with either "trick" or "treat". If you reply with "trick", they will give you an LJ dare that you have to perform before taking their candy. If you're too wimpy for that, simply say "treat" and take their candy.
4) List all your collected candies in your original "trick or treat?" post to show off your collection
